Choking

Choking is a life-threatening emergency that can often be prevented with the right precautions. Individuals with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) need tailored support, including appropriate food textures, supervision during meals, and speech and language therapy input where necessary. Ensuring clear communication between care providers can help mitigate this risk.
