Aim: To attain Level 3 competency in Safeguarding Children
Date: Wednesday 2 July 2025 (1.30am to 5.00pm) and Wednesday 19 November 2025 (9.30am to 1.00pm)

Learning objectives:
- Understand the definition of harm and gain understanding of their roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children
- Gain clarity of the child protection referral process, outcomes and time-frames, including section 47 enquires
- Participate in reviewing local and national complex serious case reviews and identify how professionals could have worked differently
- Identify the key themes and lessons learnt from these serious case reviews and sharing best practice locally

- Intercollegiate Framework: Level 3 People identified in Groups 3 - 5
- Bournemouth University Framework: People identified in Groups B1 - C
- People who work with children and/or parents and carers in a Health or Social Care Profession and require level 3 training
